I'm proudly supporting Semper Fi & America's Fund as a community athlete for the 2022 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon Semper Fi & America's Fund Team. Semper Fi & America's Fund is an amazing non-profit that assists wounded, critically ill and injured service members who have given so much and are an inspiration to many.
Competing in the Escape form Alcatraz Triathlon has been a bucket list dream of mine. I knew that 2022 was my year, but didn't know that I would find my way on to this amazing Semper Fi triathlon Team. Semper Fi & America's Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is one of America's highest rated charities, dedicated to providing urgently needed resources and support for combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
I am swimming 1.5 miles in the cold San Francisco Bay, then biking 18 miles through the Presidio hills and then running 8 miles, all to raise funds for this incredible cause. I'm humbled to have the opportunity to realize this dream of mine as a part of the Semper Fi & America's Fund team that's doing so many wonderful things for our service members and their families.
