Since 1978, Ware Chevrolet has been family owned and operated right here in Blairsville, Georgia. For three generations, the Ware family has served North Georgia, Western North Carolina, North Alabama, East Tennessee and surrounding areas with these things in mind: Honesty, Integrity, and Loyalty.
After several years of service in the United States Army, as well as spending some time in automotive sales, founder Max Ware opened Ware Chevrolet, a dealership of his very own. With his own principles, morals, and convictions at the heart of the operation, Max and his crew established a goal which eventually became the company's slogan. To be a place "where our customers send their friends." Throughout the 1980's and early 1990's, Ware Chevrolet provided above and beyond service in downtown Blairsville, building lifelong friendships and lifelong customers. In 1996, Ware Chevrolet relocated just a few miles down Highway 515, right on the outskirts of Blairsville. Through the years, Max has gradually passed down leadership roles to his Son in Law, James Shope, who has led as General Manager for nearly thirty years. In recent years, James' Children and their spouses have also taken on positions within the dealership.
With well over 100 years of combined sales experience, our team still strives to serve Blairsville, Hiawassee, Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Clayton, Cleveland, Gainesville, Jasper and other north Georgia towns with the same principles and goals as Max and his crew did in 1978. Over the years, our customer base has expanded outside of North Georgia into North Carolina towns such as Murphy, Andrews, Hayesville, Franklin, Cherokee, Robinsville, Sylva, Cullowhee and others. We also serve customers from much farther away places such as Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Virginia and many other places.
