Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) is volunteer-based organization created and dedicated to the rescue and aid of abandoned and homeless animals in the New Orleans area, including responding to the immediate needs of those in need of medical care or those who are very old, very young, sick, neglected, abused and deprived of love. ARNO promotes the foster, adoption and reunion of pets with caretakers as well as spaying and neutering all companion animals through our no-kill shelter. ARNO has rescued and rehomed over 13,000 cats and dogs since March of 2006. There is currently an unprecedented animal crisis in this region. Owner surrenders have been at an all-time high as shelters are overflowing. ARNO has been receiving daily emails, calls and in person pleas for help so people can afford to keep their pets. Through our Pet Retention Program/ Community Assistance we help people with pet food, supplies and even vet care in situations where they are having to choose between food or medicine for themselves or buying food for their beloved pets. We are on the frontline and need your help!  We cannot continue this important work without you. Please join as we race to the rescue for ARNO cats and dogs who would have no hope without you.
