What is an Oral Surgeon?
The doctors at Berks Oral Surgery + Dental Implant Center are Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Their specialty is a branch of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis and management of a variety of conditions of the head, neck, face and mouth. After completing dental school, all of our surgeons attended hospital-based surgical residency programs that were focused in this area. They trained side-by-side with dentists and physicians of all specialties, including internal medicine, anesthesiology, plastic surgery, general surgery, cardiology, intensive care specialists, among others. Following their residency programs, our surgeons completed a rigorous board certification process involving multiple years of exams, and periodic recertification. This training and certification process allows the doctors at Berks Oral Surgery to uniquely blend medicine and dentistry to be the experts in face, mouth, dental implant, and jaw surgery
